The mixed martial arts world is mourning the sudden death of
\nAllan
\nNascimento<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Nascimento (22-7) was reportedly found unresponsive on Monday, Aug.
\n3. The
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> flyweight suffered a heart
\nattack in his sleep and was pronounced deceased at the scene by
\nmedical responders.<\/p>\n

UFC and Chute Boxe pay tribute after flyweight Allan Nascimento
\ndies at age 34<\/h2>\n

The UFC posted a condolence message on social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis morning, Monday, Aug. 3, our beloved flyweight fighter, Allan
\nNascimento, was found unresponsive after suffering an apparent
\nheart attack in his sleep. Despite the efforts of the responding
\nmedical team, he was pronounced deceased at the scene. Our thoughts
\nand deepest condolences are with Allan’s family, friends,
\nteammates, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult
\ntime.\u201d<\/p>\n

His team,
\nChute Boxe<\/a>, also took to social media to share a message.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, our team loses much more than an athlete; we have lost a
\nwarrior, a friend, a dedicated competitor, and an extraordinary
\nhuman being who earned the respect and admiration of all who had
\nthe privilege of knowing him. Allan inspired on and off the mats
\nwith his determination, humility, respect and fighting spirit.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nascimento originally started competing in muay thai in 2008. Due
\nto his skinny frame, he earned the nickname \u201cPuro Osso,\u201d meaning
\nskin and bones. Nascimento transitioned to MMA soon after and paid
\nhis dues on the regional circuit for a decade before making his UFC
\ndebut in 2021. The 34-year-old went 4-2 in the UFC and was coming
\noff a narrow split decision loss against Mitch
\nRaposo<\/a> in June.<\/p>\n
