Joe Rogan believes Rico
\nVerhoeven<\/a> will financially benefit more from boxing than from
\njoining the
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Verhoeven recently asked for Rogan\u2019s suggestion about competing
\ninside the Octagon during an appearance on the UFC commentator\u2019s
\npodcast.<\/p>\n

Joe Rogan says boxing makes the \u2018most sense\u2019 as next career
\nmove for Rico Verhoeven<\/h2>\n

The former Glory Kickboxing champion noted that Conor
\nMcGregor<\/a> had reportedly earned a massive payday for his return
\nfight last month, which lasted 69 seconds. However, Rogan advised
\nthe 37-year-old against signing with the UFC at this point in his
\ncareer.<\/p>\n

Rogan believes Verhoeven can earn more money in boxing. He also
\nclaimed that Verhoeven\u2019s friend and training partner Tom
\nAspinall<\/a> could have a career in boxing in the future and that
\nthe Brit will benefit from working with Eddie Hearn.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor you, boxing makes the most sense, especially at this point in
\nyour life, financially,\u201d Rogan told Verhoeven. \u201cFor Tom, he has a
\npotential career in boxing as well. And now that Eddie Hearn is
\nmanaging him, which is very exciting because Matchroom being behind
\nhim is gonna have a gigantic hype machine, gigantic promotion. They
\nare at odds with the UFC. For me, I care about the fighters making
\nthe most money possible, and that\u2019s how [Tom] is gonna make the
\nmost money possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Verhoeven vacated his Glory heavyweight title last year after
\ndefending it against Artem
\nVakhitov<\/a>, the last man to beat Alex
\nPereira<\/a> in kickboxing. The Dutchman then challenged former
\nchamp Oleksandr Usyk this past May. While Verhoeven was a massive
\nunderdog, he led the dance for the most part before slowing down in
\nthe later rounds.<\/p>\n

Seemingly en route to a potentially monumental upset win, he was
\nknocked down late in the 11th round. While Verhoeven returned to
\nhis feet, Usyk followed up and the referee bizarrely stopped the
\nfight with a second left in the stanza.<\/p>\n
