\nMost Valuable Promotions<\/a> is a sensible business move, but still

PFL, Most Valuable Promotions and UFC compete for MMA\u2019s biggest
\nstage<\/h2>\n

Brown suggested that the new company could find more success by
\navoiding making the UFC their primary competition. In a recent
\ninterview, the retired fighter discussed where the PFL-MVP union
\nstands in comparison to the UFC.<\/p>\n

\u201cI certainly think it\u2019s a smart thing for both of those companies
\nto do,\u201d Brown said on the latest episode of The Fighter vs. The Writer.<\/a>
\n\u201cCome together, join forces, try to build something big.
\nUnfortunately, they\u2019re in a space where they\u2019re still just going to
\nbe No. 2.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brown largely agreed with White\u2019s comments days earlier, where the
\nUFC CEO dismissed the new merger as a real threat to the UFC.<\/p>\n

\u201cI agree with what [Dana White] said — \u2018We\u2019re competing with major
\nleagues and sh*t, we\u2019re not worried about what these peasants are
\ndoing,\u2019 so to speak,\u201d Brown added. \u201cHe didn\u2019t say it like that, but
\nI think he\u2019s totally right in saying that.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Brown believes that the merger brings a lot of good,
\nincluding the prospect of more money and raising the standards for
\noverall pay in the industry, he says competing with the UFC is
\nfutile. \u201cThe Immortal\u201d suggested the merged promotion would be
\nbetter served by establishing its own identity.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you\u2019re trying to outspend or try to get better fighters,\u201d
\nBrown said. \u201cYou don\u2019t have a chance. What I see MVP and PFL trying
\nto do is a d*ck-swinging contest, and it\u2019s like you\u2019ve got a
\nf*cking limp d*ck over here.”<\/p>\n

Brown further emphasized that most fighters want to fight on the
\nbiggest stage irrespective of the money they\u2019re earning.<\/p>\n

\u201cI guarantee 99.9% of fighters would go fight f*cking Jon Jones<\/a> for
