How Quillan Salkilld earned his first UFC headliner against
\nMateusz Gamrot<\/h2>\n

Since earning a contract on
\nDana White\u2019s Contender Series<\/a>, Salkilld (12-1) has gone 5-0 in
\nthe UFC, recording four first-round finishes. A win over Gamrot
\n(26-4) would firmly place him in the top tier of the division. He
\nrecently described headlining his first UFC event as a dream come
\ntrue.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just keep thinking if I was to tell the version of me two years
\nago that I am going to be headlining an event in Vegas on the UFC
\ncard, I would be ecstatic,\u201d Salkilld said in a recent
\ninterview.<\/p>\n

The surging Australian lightweight added that while focused
\nprimarily on the task at hand, he also wants to embrace the
\nopportunity and take it all in.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m good at just enjoying the process,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
