The Irishman repeatedly fell to the canvas while<br \/>\nthrowing strikes, prompting a referee stoppage just 69 seconds into<br \/>\nthe bout. \u201cNotorious\u201d has taken to social media to update fans on<br \/>\nhis injury.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSurgery went excellent!\u201d McGregor wrote on his Instagram Stories.<br \/>\n\u201cI am confident!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Notably, McGregor suffered the same injury to his other knee during<br \/>\nhis first bout against Holloway in 2013. He took nearly a year to<br \/>\nreturn to action after that setback.
