Gamrot (26-4) is scheduled to headline
\nUFC Fight Night 284<\/a> against Quillan
\nSalkilld<\/a> (12-1) on Aug. 8 at Meta Apex in Las Vegas. The Polish
\nlightweight\u2019s
\nAmerican Top Team<\/a> teammate, Poirier, will serve as a desk
\nanalyst for the event.<\/p>\n

Mateusz Gamrot explains why Dustin Poirier\u2019s energy could help
\nagainst Quillan Salkilld<\/h2>\n

Gamrot recently recalled his conversation with Poirier about his
\nteammate attending the upcoming Fight Night. He claimed that having
\nhis teammate in attendance will only boost his performance.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Poirier brings] energy, crazy energy, every day attitude,\u201d Gamrot
\ntold Full Send MMA. \u201cHe texted me and said he wants to come to my
\nfight this Saturday in Las Vegas. I texted him back, \u2018Bro, if you
\ncome, you give me 100% more power.\u2019 If Dustin comes to this fight,
\nI\u2019ll be immortal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Notably, this will be Poirier\u2019s first gig as a desk analyst since
\ngetting arrested at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International
\nAirport on a charge of public drunkenness this past June. The UFC
\nand Paramount+ have backed the former interim champion, unlike Bud
\nLight, which ended its partnership with him.<\/p>\n

Gamrot is 2-2 in his last four bouts and coming off a submission
\nwin over Esteban
\nRibovics<\/a>. Meanwhile, Salkilld is undefeated in five UFC
\nappearances, including four first-round finishes, since winning a
\ncontract on
\nDana White\u2019s Contender Series<\/a>. He made quick work of Beneil
\nDariush<\/a> in his most recent fight this past May.<\/p>\n
