Dana White has been closely involved in Bella Mir<\/a>‘s
\ndevelopment for years.<\/p>\n

The daughter of former
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> heavyweight titleholder Frank Mir<\/a> is
\nset to compete on
\nWeek 3<\/a> of
\nDana White\u2019s Contender Series<\/a> 2026. White recently addressed
\nher career progression and aspirations.<\/p>\n

Dana White hypes up \u2018special\u2019 Bella Mir ahead of her DWCS
\nbout<\/h2>\n

Bella (4-0) will fight for a UFC contract on DWCS on Aug. 25,
\nagainst Alex
\nApodaca<\/a> (3-1), with the two bantamweights set to headline the
\ncard. White was recently asked about the former and had nothing but
\npraise, revealing that he\u2019s been closely monitoring her career for
\nfour years.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, I’m very excited about Bella,\u201d White said at the
\nDWCS 2026 Week 1<\/a> post-fight press conference. \u201cI’ve been very
\ninvolved in her life the last four years.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bella has previously revealed that she hopes to become the first
\nUFC fighter to compete in the Olympics while also pursuing
\nchampionships across multiple combat sports. White confirmed that
\nthe unbeaten 23-year-old has expressed an interest in competing at
\nthe 2028 Olympics while also targeting titles in the UFC, UFC BJJ
\nand Zuffa Boxing.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, we’ve talked about it,\u201d White added. \u201cI mean, she presented
\nthat to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The UFC CEO then revealed that he encouraged the young prospect to
\nattend college rather than immediately turning professional after
\nhigh school, a decision that ultimately helped shape her wrestling
\ncareer.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was the goal, too, in college,\u201d White said. \u201cNot just for her
\nto get an education but to break some college records. She would
\nenter these jiu-jitsu competitions and win them. You know, while
\nshe was only wrestling, not even doing jiu-jitsu. So, she’s
\nspecial.”<\/p>\n
