\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Robertson (17-8) takes on Mackenzie
\nDern<\/a> (16-5) for the strawweight championship in the UFC 330
\nco-main event at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia. The
\nchallenger has claimed that it feels like her \u201cdestiny\u201d to compete
\nfor and win the championship.<\/p>\n

Gillian Robertson is excited by grappler vs. grappler
\nmatchup<\/h2>\n

Robertson, who has 20 UFC fights on her record, has grown through
\nseveral ups and downs during her time in the promotion. She
\ncompeted on the 26th edition of \u201cThe Ultimate Fighter\u201d in 2017 and
\nhas 14 wins inside the Octagon, including 10 finishes. The Canadian
\nis now riding a five-fight win streak.<\/p>\n

Ahead of her maiden title fight, \u201cThe Savage\u201d is eager to add
\nchampionship gold to her UFC run and thrilled about the matchup
\nagainst a fellow submission specialist.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think this matchup, since she [Dern] got into the UFC, people
\nhave been asking me about it,\u201d Robertson said in a recent
\ninterview. \u201cSo, I think it\u2019s something that was years in the making
\nand the fact that it’s for the title, it’s destiny.\u201d<\/p>\n

Robertson has the record for most submissions in UFC strawweight
\nhistory, with Dern in second place.<\/p>\n
