Bilal Hasan says being the betting favorite throughout his
\ncareer aided him going into DWCS bout<\/h2>\n

Hasan proved the oddsmakers right by flooring Saikia with a brutal
\nright hand in just 45 seconds. Following a few follow-up shots, the
\nreferee stepped in.<\/p>\n

Hasan earned an
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> contract and high praise from
\nDana White, who can\u2019t wait to see him fight in the UFC. Having been
\na favorite for most of his regional career, Hasan says he didn\u2019t
\nfeel any added pressure going into his Contender Series outing. The
\nundefeated 25-year-old thanked his parents for the sacrifices they
\nhave made for him and vows not to let those sacrifices go in vain
\nas he seeks greatness.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe pressure is just truly a privilege,\u201d Hasan said in his
\npost-fight interview. \u201cAnd luckily, since my regional career, I\u2019ve
\nalways been the favorite, so I\u2019m used to it\u2026 [My parents] would
\nadjust me in everything. They worked so hard. They didn\u2019t work this
\nhard for me to just be average. So, I\u2019m striving for greatness and
\ncan\u2019t wait to get my contract from Daddy Dana.\u201d
