Talbott (11-1) is reportedly set to face former flyweight champion
\nDeiveson
\nFigueiredo<\/a> (25-7-1) at UFC 332<\/a> on Oct.
\n3 at Delta Center in Salt Lake City. Brazilian reporter Leo Guimaraes<\/a> claims that the matchup is being worked
\non and is yet to be finalized.<\/p>\n

Payton Talbott and Deiveson Figueiredo\u2019s contrasting journeys
\nto UFC 332<\/h2>\n

Talbott and Figueiredo enter the rumored matchup at different
\npoints in their careers. The former has not competed since earning
\na unanimous decision victory over former two-division champion
\nHenry
\nCejudo<\/a> at
\nUFC 323<\/a>. The 27-year-old rebounded from the lone loss of his
\ncareer, a decision defeat to Raoni
\nBarcelos<\/a>, with wins over Felipe Lima<\/a>
\nand Cejudo.<\/p>\n

Before the Barcelos defeat, Talbott finished his first three UFC
\nopponents, including a 19-second knockout.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Figueiredo made the move to bantamweight after becoming
\na two-time UFC flyweight champion, quickly establishing himself at
\n135 pounds, scoring victories over Rob Font<\/a>,
\nCody
\nGarbrandt<\/a> and Marlon Vera<\/a>.
\nHowever, \u201cDeus da Guerra\u201d has struggled in his recent outings. The
\n38-year-old has dropped four of his past five bouts and is on a
\ntwo-fight skid.<\/p>\n
