How Charles Johnson landed historic Scottish twister against
\nEduardo Henrique at UFC 330<\/h2>\n

While Johnson is better known for his striking, he showed off his
\ngrappling chops when the opportunity presented itself.<\/p>\n

The Scottish twister is a variation of the traditional twister that
\nrequires precise control of the opponent’s waist and torso. For
\nJohnson, however, the submission was far from a last-second
\nimprovisation, revealing that Patrick
\n\u201cPatchy\u201d Mix<\/a> showed him how to do it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hit that at least once or twice a week on people in practice, so
\nit\u2019s just about getting there,\u201d Johnson said in a post-fight
\ninterview. \u201cPatchy Mix actually showed me that move, so I\u2019m gonna
\ngive him his flowers, man.\u201d<\/p>\n

Johnson (20-9) has alternated between wins and losses for his last
\nseven bouts and has already fought four times this year. He notably
\nholds a knockout win over the reigning champ, Joshua Van<\/a>,
\nwho\u2019s set to defend his title at the next numbered event.<\/p>\n
