\n330<\/a> co-main event at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia. The
\nchamp came close to finding the finish, but the challenger\u2019s
\ndurability ultimately saw the bout go the distance.<\/p>\n

Mackenzie Dern controls Gillian Robertson for five rounds in
\nUFC 330 title defense<\/h2>\n

Dern showcased significant improvement to her wrestling and
\nstriking in his first title defense, but largely relied on her
\ncredentialed jiu-jitsu to get the job done.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’m super happy,\u201d Dern said in her post-fight interview with Joe
\nRogan. \u201cMy first title win. I got taken down a lot of times, so
\nI’ve been working on my wrestling. I’m still the champion.\u201d<\/p>\n

Robertson was outspoken about claiming to be the superior grappler
\nin the lead-up to the fight and Dern admits it was her goal to
\nsubmit the Canadian. However, fatigue in the championship rounds
\nand the challenger\u2019s defensive skills ultimately took effect.<\/p>\n

\u201cI try to get submissions in all my fights,\u201d Dern added. \u201cI wish I
\ncould do some more damage to set up the submissions better, but
\nshe’s good. Like in the fourth and fifth rounds, my legs started to
\nfeel a little bit tired.\u201d<\/p>\n
