\nlongtime coach and mentor, Din
\nThomas<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Robertson suffered a unanimous decision loss to
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> strawweight queen Mackenzie
\nDern<\/a> in her failed title bid at UFC
\n330<\/a> in Philadelphia.<\/p>\n

Thomas later announced on the UFC 330 post-fight show that he\u2019s
\nstepping away from cornering fighters, saying he had taken
\nRobertson as far as he believes she can go. The timing of the
\nannouncement subsequently drew criticism from both fans and
\nfighters. Robertson has now finally weighed in on the same.<\/p>\n

Gillian Robertson says Din Thomas\u2019 comments made her question
\nhis apology<\/h2>\n

Robertson, giving a statement to Ariel Helwani, says she had no
\nindication before the post-show broadcast that Thomas planned to
\nmake the announcement. \u201cPrior to the broadcast, I didn\u2019t see any sign of what was to be
\nsaid,\u201d Robertson said. \u201cAfter the broadcast, he had said, \u2018I will
\naddress this in the morning,\u2019 followed by, \u2018Going live on air in 15
\nminutes.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Thomas later contacted her privately, but she has not responded to
\nhis apology because of comments he made towards the rest of her
\nteam.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe did reach out to me privately at 5 p.m. and then sent a voice
\nmessage apologizing around 7:30 p.m., to which I have not responded
\ndue to comments he has made since the broadcast privately to my
\nteam that lead me to believe there is not much weight in the
\napology.\u201d<\/p>\n

She specifically cited the following comment from Thomas:<\/p>\n

\u201cMe doing that publicly was more so for TV purposes and
\nratings.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Canadian then discussed her future, adding that she\u2019ll soon
\nreturn to the gym and resume her quest for UFC gold.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs for now, I regroup, take some time to heal, and I will be back
\nin the gym as soon as possible on the same mission,” Robertson
\nadded.<\/p>\n

\nRobertson<\/a> following Din Thomas<\/a>\u2019
\ncomments and subsequent apology to get her thoughts on the
\nsituation. Here’s what she had to say:<\/p>\n
