Khamzat Chimaev pushes for UFC return as Dana White weighs UFC
\n333 in Abu Dhabi<\/h2>\n

Chimaev recently took to social media, seemingly eager to return to
\nthe Octagon.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat are we waiting for? I want to fight,\u201d he wrote on X while
\ntagging the UFC boss.<\/p>\n

White addressed Chimaev’s future following
\nWeek 2<\/a> of
\nDana White\u2019s Contender Series<\/a> 2026 after being asked about the
\nX post from the former champion calling for a return to action.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn’t see it,\u201d White said. \u201cYeah, I mean, he’s always in
\nconversation to fight. The whole roster is. I mean, everybody, in a
\nperfect world, everybody fights three times a year.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chimaev lost the middleweight title to Sean
\nStrickland<\/a> earlier this year, suffering the first loss of his
\nprofessional career. While he initially hinted at a move up to
\nlight heavyweight after the defeat, \u201cBorz\u201d has been calling for a
\nrematch with Strickland for the past few months.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, UFC 333, scheduled for Oct. 24 at Etihad Arena on Yas
\nIsland, already has two title bouts and a stacked main card.
\nAlexander
\nVolkanovski<\/a> is set to defend his featherweight title against
\nMovsar
\nEvloev<\/a> and Petr Yan<\/a> will
\nrun it back with Merab
\nDvalishvili<\/a> in a trilogy clash for the bantamweight strap on
\nthe card, leaving little room for another championship bout.<\/p>\n
