\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> rival once again excluded him
\nfrom the GOAT debate.<\/p>\n

Cormier recently argued that Jones’ history with
\nperformance-enhancing drugs prevents him from claiming the sport’s
\ntop honor. Instead, \u201cDC\u201d pointed to former undefeated UFC
\nlightweight champion Khabib
\nNurmagomedov<\/a>, citing the Russian’s spotless record and lack of
\nmajor controversies. Jones attributed this claim to \u201cjealousy.\u201d<\/p>\n

After Cormier argued that Jones doesn\u2019t belong in the GOAT
\nconversation and brought up his lone defeat, a disqualification
\nloss to Matt Hamill<\/a>
\nin a fight he was dominating, \u201cBones\u201d took to social media to
\nrespond to his former foe.<\/p>\n

\u201cI started in the UFC so early that I didn’t even know what the
\nrules were,\u201d Jones wrote. \u201cThe night I fought Matt was the first
\nnight I had ever even heard the term ’12-to-6.’ Literally, my
\nentire career has been in the main event, fighting for a world
\ntitle. My brother, Daniel Cormier, your jealousy runs so deep
\nthrough your blood. I honestly pray that the good Lord heals you
\nfrom your envy and that, one day, you won’t feel the need to do
\ninterviews like this. Until then, it’s flattering to see the
\npassion you have when it comes to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

This exchange continues one of the UFC’s most bitter rivalries.
\nJones and Cormier fought twice for the light heavyweight
\nchampionship, with Jones initially defeating Cormier in both
\nmeetings. However, the result of their second fight was later
\noverturned to a no contest after Jones tested positive for a
\nturinabol metabolite.<\/p>\n
