\nSheridan<\/a> is just getting started, but he believes the stage is
\nalready set for his rise. Sheridan will return to action against
\nJames
\nVake<\/a> in a welterweight showcase bout at PFL Tampa, where he
\nhopes to move closer to championship contention.<\/p>\n

The final event of the PFL Summer Series will be headlined by
\nCris
\nCyborg<\/a> welcoming Ketlen
\nVieira<\/a> to the promotion in a women\u2019s featherweight title fight.
\nThe card will also feature several rising prospects. In an
\ninterview with Sherdog.com, Sheridan discussed his immediate future
\nand what fans should expect from his matchup with Vake.<\/p>\n

Now ranked in the Top 10, Sheridan believes he is beginning an
\nexciting journey toward the top of a welterweight division infused
\nwith new talent.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s going great so far with the PFL, my momentum is certainly
\npicking up and I\u2019m officially ranked in the Top 10. My time here is
\ngoing well, and hopefully it\u2019ll continue to do so. It\u2019s a massive
\npromotion and obviously now after we merged with
\nMVP<\/a>, it\u2019s an exciting time to be an athlete in the company and
\nI\u2019m excited to see what\u2019s next.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sheridan is not focusing on any particular game plan or element of
\nVake\u2019s skill set. Instead, he looks forward to showcasing his own
\nabilities.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just can\u2019t wait to go out there and just do what I do. Whatever
\npresents itself in this fight, I\u2019ll look for it. I don\u2019t think too
\nmuch into fighting or the matchup, fighting comes second nature to
\nme. I\u2019ve been doing it for a long, long time, many, many years. I\u2019m
\ndangerous in the cage for anybody. I\u2019m a 6\u20195\u201d sniper, so be
\ncareful, he needs to be careful.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to carrying considerable self-belief, Sheridan takes
\npride in representing Ireland and envisions helping bring the PFL
\nback to Dublin.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the Irish are built for fighting, it\u2019s in our blood. For
\nme, it\u2019s just years and years of consistency and discipline and
\ncontinuing to show up and continually improving, and learning from
\nmistakes as well. This is what gives me confidence and then just
\nthe sheer size of me for this division, their hands are going to be
\nfull. It\u2019s an honor to represent Ireland, and I\u2019m a kickboxer so I
\nlike to stand and bang, that\u2019s how the Irish like to do it. We\u2019re
\nwell-rounded fighters and there\u2019s plenty more of us that haven\u2019t
\neven broke onto the scene yet. But I\u2019m happy to be one that\u2019s
\nleading the way.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sheridan, who admitted that he had to practice public speaking in
\ncollege, expects to enter the title picture in 2027 as the PFL
\nbegins its next chapter with MVP. He plans to climb the rankings
\nwhile entertaining fans along the way. As for what they should
