\nde Ridder<\/a> claims that the fight week ahead of his bout against
\nCaio
\nBorralho<\/a> was the worst of his career.<\/p>\n

The Dutchman suffered a lopsided unanimous decision loss in a
\nmiddleweight matchup against Borralho this past March, his last
\nouting at 185 pounds. He recently revealed that he had already
\ndecided to move up to the
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> light heavyweight division
\nduring fight week ahead of that bout.<\/p>\n

De Ridder decided to leave middleweight during his weight cut
\nbefore facing Caio Borralho<\/h2>\n

The former two-division One
\nChampionship<\/a> titleholder recently recalled the days leading up
\nto the defeat to Borralho. He was coming off a stoppage loss to
\nBrendan
\nAllen<\/a>, in which he visibly gassed out, prompting a corner
\nstoppage before the final round. \u201cThe Dutch Knight\u201d has now
\nrevealed that the weight cut for the Borralho fight was even worse
\nthan the one that preceded the Allen bout.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was before the fight, during the weight cut I said, \u2018This is
\nthe last time. I\u2019m never gonna do this again,\u2019\u201d de Ridder told Full
\nSend MMA. \u201cThat week was the worst fight week I\u2019ve ever had.
\nEverything went wrong. That fight week was the worst week I\u2019ve ever
\nhad\u2026 Even worse than the Vancouver week. Nothing medical stuff,
\nwasn\u2019t a hospital, I don\u2019t want to make up any excuses, but it
\nwasn\u2019t good.\u201d<\/p>\n

He finally moved up to 205 pounds for good against Roman
\nDolidze<\/a> at
\nUFC Sacramento<\/a>, scoring a first-round stoppage to return to
\nwinning ways.<\/p>\n
