Paulo
\nCosta<\/a> claims the
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> is \u201clost\u201d without Dana
\nWhite<\/a> being more actively involved.<\/p>\n

With one fight remaining on his UFC contract, the Brazilian voiced
\nhis frustration in an interview with Sexto Round, saying White is
\n\u201cgreatly missed\u201d in the matchmaking process.<\/p>\n

Costa said he was ready to compete again shortly after his April
\nvictory and reached out to the UFC in June about potential fights
\nin July or August. According to the former title challenger, the
\npromotion told him it had not yet made a decision. \u201cBorrachinha\u201d
\nbelieves that the promotion is making mistakes and is failing to
\ncapitalize on key matchups.<\/p>\n

\u201cDana White is greatly missed,\u201d Costa said. \u201cThe UFC is lost.
\nThey\u2019re making a lot of mistakes because of fear and a lack of
\ntiming. If I said, \u2018OK, I don\u2019t mind being tied down, being
\nundervalued and getting paid less than I deserve,\u2019 I\u2019d probably be
\nfighting for the interim title by now. But I think that would be a
\nmistake. I know UFC champions who make half of what I make.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked whether he had spoken with Eddie Hearn, Costa confirmed
\nthat he had.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a good conversation and he sent me a proposal to become
\npart of his management team,\u201d Costa added.<\/p>\n

The Brazilian is now seeking a meaningful matchup for the final
\nfight of his current contract. He broke down the light heavyweight
\ntitle mix, highlighting how he, former champ Magomed
\nAnkalaev<\/a> and unbeaten contender Navajo
\nStirling<\/a> should be in the running for the rumored interim title
\nbout, rather than Jiri
\nProchazka<\/a> and Khalil
\nRountree<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m coming off a win, Ankalaev is coming off a win and this new
\nguy Navajo is also coming off a win; Jiri and Khalil are coming off
\nlosses, so let’s see.\u201d<\/p>\n
