The former
\nRizin Fighting Federation<\/a> champ endured a disappointing start
\nin the
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a>, getting finished in his first
\ntwo appearances. He then secured a win after moving up to
\nbantamweight and is set to meet Qileng Aori<\/a>
\nnext at
\nUFC Shanghai<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kai Asakura targets Qileng Aori knockout after successful move
\nto bantamweight<\/h2>\n

Asakura recorded his first win in the UFC against Cameron
\nSmotherman<\/a> earlier this year. He claims he\u2019s settled in nicely
\nat bantamweight and vowed to finish Aori when they clash on Aug. 29
\nto extend his win streak. However, he isn\u2019t just looking for a win,
\nstating that he wants to show off some new moves as well en route
\nto finding the knockout.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will knock him out and I will show a new combination this
\nSaturday,\u201d Asakura said at UFC Shanghai media day.<\/p>\n

The Japanese fighter also revealed that he wants to stay active and
\ncompete again before the end of the year. Additionally, Asakura
\nexpressed interest in fighting in his native Japan, where he
\nexpects strong interest in a UFC event.<\/p>\n

Entering his second fight of the 2026, Kai Asakura<\/a>
