\nNurmagomedov<\/a> expects a difficult test when he meets Yadong Song<\/a>
\nin their upcoming main event in the
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Nurmagomedov is looking to extend his win streak to three straight
\nat
\nUFC Shanghai<\/a> and the Russian is well aware of the challenge
\nahead of him in China\u2019s Song.<\/p>\n

Umar Nurmagomedov expects a difficult UFC Shanghai main event
\nagainst Yadong Song<\/h2>\n

Nurmagomedov has picked up two decision wins since suffering the
\nlone loss of his professional career to Merab
\nDvalishvili<\/a> in their bantamweight title fight back in January
\nlast year. He\u2019s beaten Mario
\nBautista<\/a> and Deiveson
\nFigueiredo<\/a> via unanimous decision to return to winning form and
\ndefeating Song in the Chinese 135-pounder\u2019s home country could put
\nthe Dagestani back in the title mix.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, Nurmagomedov is focused on the task at hand against a
\nwell-rounded opponent and isn\u2019t thinking about the title.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course, I’m going to be happy to do a knockout, you know, but
\nthis guy is not an easy fight,\u201d Nurmagomedov said in a recent
\ninterview. \u201cAnd I will, I will, we both, I think, we’re going to
\nshow what they mean by mixed martial arts.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nurmagomedov also emphasized that his motivation extends beyond the
\ntitle picture. With Petr Yan<\/a> and
\nDvalishvili set to meet in a trilogy bout for the belt at
\nUFC 333<\/a>, the 30-year-old is focused on delivering his best
\nperformance regardless of what happens elsewhere in the
\ndivision.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course, I want to show my best version,\u201d Nurmagomedov added. \u201cI
\ndon’t care about that fight, whether they’re going to fight or not,
\nlike, for myself, I want to show my best version.\u201d<\/p>\n
