Umar
\nNurmagomedov<\/a> is targeting a rematch with Merab
\nDvalishvili<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Nurmagomedov suffered the first loss of his professional career
\nwhen Dvalishvili defeated him by unanimous decision in January last
\nyear in their
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> title bout. The Russian is eager
\nto run it back with \u201cThe Machine\u201d and wants to fight him next,
\nregardless of the outcome of the latter’s
\nUFC 333<\/a> title fight against Petr Yan<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Umar Nurmagomedov wants revenge against Merab Dvalishvili after
\nfacing Yadong Song at UFC Shanghai<\/h2>\n

The tension between Nurmagomedov and Dvalishvili has only grown
\nsince their first meeting. The former is set to face Yadong Song<\/a>
\nat
\nUFC Shanghai<\/a> on Aug. 29, and while he\u2019s focused on his upcoming
\nbout, the Dagestani wants revenge for his loss to the former
\nchamp.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst of all, of course I have to win this fight,\u201d Nurmagomedov
\ntold MMA Junkie. \u201cThen I will fight with Merab, if he will win or
\nif he will lose, I think we’re going to fight.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dvalishvili notably questioned whether Nurmagomedov had earned a
\ntitle shot in the first place before their clash and has repeatedly
\npointed to favoritism aiding the Russian, with Umar being the
\ncousin of UFC Hall of Famer Khabib
\nNurmagomedov<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The rivalry took another turn after Dvalishvili was involved in an
\naltercation with Nurmagomedov’s friend, Ahmed Gadzhimagomedov, at a
\nrecent Real American Freestyle event in Georgia. When asked if
\ntheir feud is personal, Nurmagomedov confirmed the same.<\/p>\n

\u201cIs it personal? I think yes,\u201d Nurmagomedov continued. \u201cAlready
\nyes. Now it’s personal. Now it’s personal not just for me. It’s
\npersonal for all of Dagestan.\u201d<\/p>\n
