\nUFC Shanghai<\/a> headliner. The Chinese bantamweight\u2019s coaches

Yadong Song explains the preparation behind his UFC Shanghai
\nknockout of Umar Nurmagomedov<\/h2>\n

After his knockout victory, Song revealed he had specifically
\nprepared the uppercut as a counter to Nurmagomedov’s takedown
\nattempts. \u201cThe Kung Fu Kid\u201d claimed that his boxing coach
\nidentified where the Dagestani was vulnerable and they repeatedly
\nworked on the finishing sequence he pulled off at UFC Shanghai.<\/p>\n

Song explained that his team anticipated Nurmagomedov shooting with
\nhis head dipping towards the left side and worked on counters to
\nthat movement.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy boxing coach, Rudy Hernandez, he already told me, \u2018You gonna
\nget the knockout tonight with uppercut,\u2019\u201d Song said in a post-fight
\ninterview. \u201cWe\u2019ve been working on that. We know he gonna shoot from
\nthe left side and we find the uppercut.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the same interview, Song claimed that he\u2019d finish current champ
\nPetr
\nYan<\/a> and former champ Sean
\nO\u2019Malley<\/a> in rematches after they previously outpointed him. He
\nalso fancies himself against Merab
\nDvalishvili<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like I can finish everyone,\u201d Song added. \u201cYou know, I can,
\nI can finish Petr. I can finish Merab, you know. So even Sean’s
\nfight is very close. You know, if a rematch, I can finish him
\ntoo.\u201d<\/p>\n
