Liu (4-1) was scheduled to make his
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> debut against Tafa (7-6) in
\nfront of a home crowd in Shanghai, China, on Aug. 29. However, Tafa
\nwithdrew due to undisclosed reasons five days before fight night
\nand was replaced on short notice by Levi
\nRodrigues<\/a>, who suffered a first-round knockout loss to Liu.<\/p>\n

\nShanghai knockout<\/h2>\n

The Liu vs. Rodrigues bout was a fast-paced back-and-forth affair,
\nwith both fighters having moments of success before Liu piled on
\nthe pressure in the final minute of the first round. The Chinese
\nlight heavyweight ultimately flatlined his Brazilian counterpart,
\nopening his account in the UFC in style.<\/p>\n

Liu subsequently called for a rebooking against Tafa.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to challenge someone — my last opponent,\u201d Liu said
\nbackstage after his win. \u201cI want to settle the score with him in
\nour next match.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Oriental Dragon\u201d has finished all four of his pro wins so far,
\ngoing past the first round only once in victory. Meanwhile, Tafa is
\n3-6 in the UFC and coming off a first-round knockout loss against
\nIwo
\nBaraniewski<\/a>.<\/p>\n
