Rodrigues (8-1) took on Brandon
\nHolmes<\/a> (6-2) in a middleweight outing in
\nWeek 4<\/a> of DWCS 2026. Rodrigues took just 15 seconds to drop
\nHolmes and finish him with follow-up shots. However, the stoppage
\nwas not without controversy, as referee Chris Tognoni stepped in
\nwhile Holmes was still conscious and actively defending.<\/p>\n

While Dana
\nWhite<\/a> called it one of the most controversial stoppages in DWCS
\nhistory, he saw enough to give Rodrigues an
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> contract.<\/p>\n

Modestino Rodrigues stopped Brandon Holmes in 15 seconds at
\nDWCS Week 4<\/h2>\n

Rodrigues says he never imagined he would be on the biggest stage
\nin MMA. \u201cThe Slanderman\u201d thanks the sport for changing his life and
\ncredits sheer hard work for his success. The 22-year-old has been
\naway from his family for nine months to train for his DWCS
\nbout.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis team, we train so hard. Coaches are always pushing us, \u2018That
\n1-2 is gonna get it, make sure that you\u2019re quick.\u2019 MMA changed my
\nlife,\u201d Rodrigues said. \u201cI\u2019m ready to die out there\u2026 I live for
\nthis. I can\u2019t even say that I had dreams about it because I never
\nimagined I would be in this position. I worked so hard every day
\nfor this to happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rodrigues is known for quick nights inside the cage. The Brazilian
\nhas finished all eight of his pro wins so far, six of them within
\ntwo minutes.<\/p>\n
