Tom
\nAspinall<\/a>\u2019s Octagon return will have to wait.<\/p>\n

Eddie Hearn recently hinted that the
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> heavyweight titleholder isn\u2019t
\nready to return to action yet. Hearn claims that Aspinall is still
\nnot medically cleared to compete after suffering an eye injury in
\nhis last bout against Ciryl
\nGane<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Eddie Hearn says Tom Aspinall is not medically cleared to fight
\nafter his Ciryl Gane bout<\/h2>\n

While Aspinall still isn’t cleared to return to action, the head of
\nMatchroom Boxing assured fans that he is \u201cmotivated\u201d and eager to
\nreturn as soon as he is permitted.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only thing that we have to look at is when Tom Aspinall will
\nbe ready to return,\u201d Hearn said in a recent press scrum captured by
\nBloody Elbow. \u201cAnd that\u2019s not from a mindset perspective; that\u2019s
\nfrom a commission perspective in terms of his injury. And that
\nshows you what he has been through because if the commission won\u2019t
\nlet him fight, you know how serious the injuries were\u2026 He\u2019s
\nmotivated. I can\u2019t give you an exact date you but what I can tell
\nyou is he wants to get back in there as soon as he is physically
\nable to do so.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aspinall (15-3) put his heavyweight title on the line against Gane
\nlast October. The fight ended in a no-contest in the opening round
\nafter Aspinall was rendered unable to continue due to a double eye
\npoke by Gane.<\/p>\n

Aspinall subsequently had a falling-out with the UFC, claiming
\nDana
\nWhite<\/a> downplayed his eye injury. The Englishman has since
\nundergone multiple eye procedures and assures that he is recovering
\nwell.<\/p>\n
