\n\u201cmost logical matchup\u201d for his next bout.<\/p>\n

With Khamzat
\nChimaev<\/a>\u2019s future uncertain, and Brendan
\nAllen<\/a> and Joe Pyfer<\/a>
\nalready booked, Rodrigues claims the time is right for the du
\nPlessis matchup.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s the fight that makes the most sense,\u201d Rodrigues told
\nSherdog. \u201cI don\u2019t know what\u2019s going on with Chimaev and I think
\nBrendan Allen and Pyfer already have fights booked, so DDP seems
\nlike the most logical matchup.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rodrigues remains open to other matchups but is confident he can
\nbeat du Plessis, eyeing holes in the South African\u2019s game.<\/p>\n

\u201cDricus is very strong and tough and he beat the current champion,
\nbut he makes a lot of technical mistakes that I can capitalize on,\u201d
\nRodrigues added.<\/p>\n

\nStrickland<\/a>, du Plessis seemingly isn\u2019t atop the pecking order
