\nMcGregor<\/a> is his top choice for his next bout.<\/p>\n

Gaethje, who won the
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> lightweight title by beating
\nIlia
\nTopuria<\/a> at
\nUFC Freedom 250<\/a>, prefers the McGregor matchup over getting
\nrevenge against Max
\nHolloway<\/a> and Charles
\nOliveira<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Justin Gaethje favors Conor McGregor over rematches with Max
\nHolloway and Charles Oliveira<\/h2>\n

In a recent interview, Gaethje explained why he has little interest
\nin revisiting fights with Holloway and Oliveira, who previously
\nfinished him in title bouts. Holloway scored a buzzer-beater KO
\nagainst Gaethje at UFC
\n300<\/a> to win the BMF title, while Oliveira submitted him in his
\nsecond attempt at undisputed lightweight gold.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, with Topuria finishing both \u201cBlessed\u201d and \u201cdo
\nBronxs,\u201d Gaethje isn\u2019t interested in rematches. Rather, he\u2019s eyeing
\na bout with former two-division champ McGregor.<\/p>\n

\u201cDamn, there\u2019s really no one,\u201d Gaethje said. \u201cIt would have been
\nOliveira or Holloway, but since Topuria beat them, I\u2019m going to go
\nahead and justify it to myself like I got them back. So, I guess
\nMcGregor. Fun to shut him up.\u201d<\/p>\n

McGregor returned to the Octagon following a five-year hiatus to
\nface Holloway at
\nUFC 329<\/a>, but the fight ended in little over a minute as the
\nIrishman suffered a knee injury, prompting an anticlimactic referee
\nstoppage. With one fight left on his current contract, he\u2019s
\ntargeting his final UFC bout for the summer of 2027.<\/p>\n
