Jason
\nJackson<\/a> believes he can disrupt the
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a>\u2019s welterweight division and
\nupset the reigning champ.<\/p>\n

Jackson recently called for a UFC signing while making a bold
\nclaim. The former Bellator<\/a>
\nwelterweight champion believes he can defeat UFC welterweight king
\nIslam
\nMakhachev<\/a>. Furthermore, the 35-year-old says the premier
\npromotion doesn\u2019t want him on the roster, considering his age.<\/p>\n

Jason Jackson explains why he believes he can beat UFC champ
\nIslam Makhachev<\/h2>\n

Makhachev faced one of the toughest tests of his career while
\nsuccessfully defending his welterweight title against Ian Garry<\/a> at
\nUFC
\n330<\/a>. Jackson claims he had his way with Garry in training and
\nnever struggled against the Irishman.<\/p>\n

Jackson also handed Yaroslav
\nAmosov<\/a> his lone career loss. According to the Jamaican, Amosov,
\nwho has finished both of his UFC wins so far, is a better fighter
\nthan Makhachev. He believes the UFC isn\u2019t offering him a contract
\nas they fear that he would turn the division on its head.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to go to the UFC. I\u2019m not even gonna beat around the bush
\nbecause I feel like I could beat Makhachev,\u201d Jackson said in an X
\npost. \u201cAnd the reason why I said that is that he struggled with
\nIan. And no disrespect to Ian, I done put Ian down in the gym. I
\ndon\u2019t struggle with him. And from what I did to Yaroslav, I think
\nhe is better than Makhachev. If I get into the UFC, I feel like
\nthat\u2019s one that the UFC don\u2019t want, is a guy my age coming from a
\ndifferent promotion, going there and just disrupting their whole
\npecking order. I feel like that\u2019s why they are holding out on me
\ngetting in there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jackson (20-6) is 2-2 in his last four outings and most recently
\nscored a 20-second knockout win at
\nMost Valuable Promotions<\/a>\u2019 inaugural mixed martial arts event
\nthis past May.<\/p>\n
