\nNascimento<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Nascimento (22-7) died in his sleep in early August, reportedly due
\nto a cardiac arrest. The
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> flyweight\u2019s coach has now paid
\ntribute to his late friend and pupil.<\/p>\n

Diego Lima renames his institute after longtime student and UFC
\nflyweight Allan Nascimento<\/h2>\n

Chute Boxe head coach Diego Lima recently revealed that the Diego
\nLima Institute has now been renamed the Allan Nascimento Institute
\nin honor of \u201cPuro Osso.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAllan has been my student since he was 14 years old,\u201d Lima told
\nMMA Fighting while tearing up. \u201cSo, we have been together for 20
\nyears. It\u2019s almost been a month. There hasn\u2019t been a single day
\nwhen I haven\u2019t cried. Our institute today, the Diego Lima
\nInstitute, is not going to be called the Diego Lim Institute
\nanymore. It\u2019s going to be called the Allan Nascimento Institute. As
\nlong as I live, I will honor his name. As long as I live, I will
\nsay his name because he was my student, he is my student, he is my
\nathlete.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lima also revealed that apart from being his student, Nascimento
\nwas also his business partner, handling some management
\nresponsibilities. Lima had originally planned to retire from
\ncoaching when Nascimento hung up his gloves.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was one of the most loyal friends I\u2019ve ever had in my life,\u201d
\nLima added. \u201cHe was my business partner. A lot of people didn\u2019t
\nknow this, but when it came to all my management affairs, he was my
\npartner. I would always have the conversations and negotiations,
\nbut the email account was ours, so all the emails, everything, was
\nwith him. And I used to joke with him that when he retired, I would
\nretire too. He was going to fight until he was around 40 years old.
\nThat was our plan. Maybe he would go a little beyond that, maybe
\nnot, but as soon as he retired, I was going to retire too, because
\nthen he would take care of everything. Those plans ended up
\nchanging a little bit.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Chute Boxe team is still reeling from the tragic death of
\nNascimento. Notably, Charles
\nOliveira<\/a> reportedly withdrew from a rematch against Arman
\nTsarukyan<\/a> at UFC
\n331<\/a> to grieve the death of his friend and teammate.<\/p>\n
