\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a>\u2019s fifth return to Paris, France,
\nfeatured 14 fights on display and the much-anticipated promotional
\ndebut of a highly-touted contender.<\/p>\n

In the
\nUFC Paris<\/a> main event, UFC veteran Dan Hooker welcomed French
\nmixed martial arts star Salahdine Parnasse into the Octagon in a
\nlightweight clash. Parnasse studied his opponent\u2019s reflexes with
\nsome feints before taking the floor and attacking with quick shots.
\nThe Frenchman reached Hooker with a kick to the liver, drawing a
\ngrimace from Hooker. The former two-division Konfrontacja Sztuk
\nWalki champion
\nfollowed up with a head kick and a left hook<\/a> as Hooker
\nretreated to the fence. With cold calculation, Parnasse blasted
\nHooker away with some more punches. Referee Marc Goddard stepped in
\nat the 2:35 mark of Round 1.<\/p>\n

In victory, Parnasse (24-2, 1-0 UFC) extended his winning streak to
\nsix, and he\u2019s now 11-1 in his last 12 assignments. Hooker (24-15,
\n14-11 UFC) finds himself on a three-bout skid for the first time in
\nhis career.<\/p>\n

The co-headliner featured an exciting matchup between two 155-pound
\nprospects, Fares Ziam and Axel Sola. The pair exchanged a few shots
\non the feet before former Ares Fighting Championship 155-pound
\nchamp Sola
\nconnected with an overhand left, immediately dropping Ziam to the
\ncanvas<\/a>. Sola poured on more damage as Ziam (18-6, 8-4 UFC) was
\nclearly out cold before the referee mercifully stepped in. The
\nofficial end came at 1:40 of Round 1. Sola (13-1-1, 3-1 UFC) has
\nnow scored back-to-back wins inside the Octagon, with seven wins by
\nknockout in his career.<\/p>\n

Earlier on the card, Michael Page (26-3, 5-1 UFC) outstruck
\nNursulton Ruziboev (37-10-2, 5-2 UFC) en route to a unanimous
\ndecision at middleweight. Ruziboev moved the action to the canvas
\nout of the gate, but \u201cVenom\u201d limited the damage. In Rounds 2 and 3,
\nBellator MMA alum Page put on his trademark striking display and
\nkept his opponent at bay. Eventually, the scorecards read 29-28,
\n29-28, and 29-28 in favor of Page, who is now 6-1 in his last seven
\nbouts.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Ultimate Fighter\u201d Season 33 welterweight winner Daniil
\nDonchenko (15-2, 4-0 UFC) outsmarted Punahele Soriano (13-5, 7-5
\nUFC) to secure a unanimous decision victory. The Ukrainian fighter
\nstarted strong and troubled Soriano early in the opening stanza,
\nbut then toned down and never finished his foe. Still, it was
\nenough to earn 30-27, 30-27 and 29-28 marks from the judges,
\nkeeping the momentum going with his eighth straight victory.<\/p>\n

The MMA Academy Liverpool representative Kurtis Campbell (9-1, 1-1
\nUFC) submitted fellow Dana White\u2019s Contender Series alum Trevor
\nPeek (9-4, 1 NC; 2-4 UFC) with a
\nrear-naked choke in the third frame of their featherweight
\naffair<\/a>. 24-year-old Campbell largely dominated his opponent
\nbefore finding the finish at 3:07 of Round 3. Campbell has finished
\nseven out of nine opponents so far.<\/p>\n

In the main card opener, former two-division Oktagon MMA
\ntitleholder Losene Keita (17-2, 1-1 UFC) flatlined Muhammadjon
\nNaimov (13-5, 4-3 UFC)
\nwith a nasty punch at 2:54 of the opening frame<\/a>, raking up the
\nsixth first-round finish and 11th knockout on his resume.<\/p>\n

UFC Paris prelims results:<\/h2>\n

On the preliminary card, Felipe Lima (15-2, 3-1 UFC) upended Morgan
\nCharriere (21-13-1, 3-4 UFC) on all scorecards (30-27, 30-27,
\n29-28) in their 145-pound affair; at heavyweight, Mario Pinto
\n(13-0, 4-0 UFC) kept his record unblemished after blasting fellow
\nDWCS graduate Ryan Spann (24-12, 10-7 UFC) with
\npunches 55 seconds into Round 2<\/a>; former two-time Cage Warriors
\n205-pound champion Modestas Bukauskas (21-7, 9-5 UFC) crushed Oumar
\nSy (12-3, 3-3 UFC) with knees and punches at 3:57 of the second
\nstanza,
\nlanding the 15th finish of his career<\/a>; promotional newcomer
\nPavel Andrusca (9-0, 1-0 UFC) upset Octagon veteran Nathaniel Wood
\n(23-7, 11-4 UFC) to take home a unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27,
\n29-28) in their featherweight encounter; former The Way of Warrior
\ntitleholder Fabia Sintes (12-3, 1-0 UFC) scored a successful
\npromotional debut as he outpointed Michael Aljarouj (13-4, 0-1 UFC)
\non all scorecards (29-28, 29-28, 29-27) in their flyweight tilt,
\nextending his winning streak to eight; at women\u2019s bantamweight,
\nNora Cornolle (10-4, 4-3 UFC) grappled and clinched her way to a
\nunanimous decision win over Klaudia Sygula (8-3, 2-2 UFC), with all
\nscorecards reading 30-27 in favor of the Frenchwoman; former
\nHexagone MMA 185-pound titleholder Matthieu Letho Duclos (11-3, 1-0
\nUFC) stopped Luis Felipe Dias (18-6, 1-1 UFC)
\nwith punches at 4:35 of Round 1<\/a>, extending his win streak to
\nfive and notching the fifth first-round finish of his career; in
\nthe women\u2019s strawweight clash that kicked off the festivities, \u201cThe
