\nrecent South Florida traffic stop.<\/p>\n

Viral footage circulating on social media shows Moraes, now working
\nas a police officer, dealing with a motorist who repeatedly
\nconfronted and verbally challenged him. After several warnings to
\nback away, the man moved toward Moraes, who responded by taking him
\nto the ground.<\/p>\n

Marlon Moraes hip tosses motorist while working as South
\nFlorida police officer<\/h2>\n

The incident took place on March 27. Moraes joined the Davie Police
\nDepartment in Florida in June 2024 before taking a position with
\nthe Coral Springs P.D. later that year.<\/p>\n

In the viral footage, the situation escalates after the motorist
\nrepeatedly insults Moraes and another officer. Moraes warns him
\nagainst moving closer before eventually using a hip toss to bring
\nhim to the ground, where other officers move in to handcuff
\nhim.<\/p>\n

The incident adds another chapter to Moraes’ unusual post-fighting
\ncareer, which has seen him transition into law enforcement while
\nalso returning to mixed martial arts competition. The Brazilian
\nexited the UFC in 2023 on a seven-fight losing streak. He defeated
\nMaximiliano
\nPerez<\/a> by unanimous decision on Aug. 28, returning to
\ncompetition after three years to record his first victory since
\n2019.<\/p>\n
