\nWood<\/a> believes he didn\u2019t perform to his potential in his most
\nrecent bout in the
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Wood was originally scheduled to fight Mairon
\nSantos<\/a> at
\nUFC Paris<\/a> on Sept. 5. However, Santos pulled out of the bout
\ndue to illness and was replaced by Pavel
\nAndrusca<\/a>, who stepped up for his UFC debut on five days\u2019
\nnotice. Wood\u2019s win streak came to a halt and he\u2019s now addressed the
\nresult.<\/p>\n

Nathaniel Wood vows to return stronger after losing to Pavel
\nAndrusca at UFC Paris<\/h2>\n

Wood was a -330 favorite going into his bout against the undefeated
\nMoldovan, who was a +240 underdog. However, Andrusca proved that he
\ncould hold his own at the top level by out-striking Wood in the
\nfirst round. While Wood gained momentum in the second round,
\nAndrusca edged out the third round to earn an upset win via
\nunanimous decision.<\/p>\n

Reacting to his loss at UFC Paris, Wood apologized to his team for
\nnot performing to his potential. However, \u201cThe Last Kingsman\u201d
\npromises to bounce back stronger as every loss ignites a fire in
\nhim.<\/p>\n

\u201cAny given Sunday,\u201d Wood wrote on X. \u201cUnfortunately, I didn\u2019t
\nperform how I could or should have, sorry to my team for not doing
\nwhat I needed. Losing really does spark something inside, I\u2019ll be
\nright back.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wood (23-7) was on a four-fight winning streak before losing to
\nAndrusca (9-0). The Englishman had previously thwarted prospects
\nlike Morgan
\nCharriere<\/a>, Jose
\nDelgado<\/a> and Losene
\nKeita<\/a>.<\/p>\n
