\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> middleweight titleholder looks
\nset to make his commentary debut on
\nWeek 5<\/a> of
\nDana White\u2019s Contender Series<\/a> Season 10.<\/p>\n

Chris Weidman reportedly joins Laura Sanko and Dan Hellie for
\nDWCS Week 5<\/h2>\n

Since he retired from mixed martial arts, Weidman has worked
\nextensively as a desk analyst for UFC events. He\u2019s been a fixture
\non pre-fight weigh-in shows and his profile further grew with the
\npopularity of Paramount’s “Deep Waters” podcast, where he discusses
\ncombat sports news alongside Dustin
\nPoirier<\/a>, Jorge
\nMasvidal<\/a> and Din
\nThomas<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to MMA Junkie<\/a>, Weidman will join Laura Sanko<\/a>
\nand play-by-play announcer Dan Hellie in the three-person booth for
\nthe five-fight card at Meta Apex in Las Vegas on Sept. 8.<\/p>\n

Weidman, 42, last competed in December 2024, suffering a
\nsecond-round TKO loss to Eryk Anders<\/a>.
\nThe UFC Hall of Famer finished his MMA career with a 16-8 record,
\ngoing 12-8 in the UFC. He famously ended Anderson
\nSilva<\/a>\u2019s historic 16-fight win streak in the UFC, a record that
\nwas recently broken by welterweight champ Islam
