personality. His 18-second knockout of former UFC middleweight

champion Dave Menne

remains one of the most memorable finishes of his career. The former UFC fighter went on to compete for several major

promotions, including

Pride FC, Strikeforce,

EliteXC,

Bellator

and One

Championship, facing notable opponents such as Frank

Shamrock, Nick Diaz,

Evan

Tanner, Matt

Lindland, Yoshiyuki

Yoshida and Hayato

Sakurai.

The documentary explores how the line between Baroni’s fighting

persona and his real-life identity became increasingly difficult to

separate.

In January 2023, Baroni was arrested in Mexico following the death

of his girlfriend inside a hotel room in San Pancho, Nayarit.

Mexican authorities charged him with aggravated femicide. Baroni

remains jailed in Mexico while his case is unresolved. He has not

been convicted.

The documentary looks back at the fighter who captivated audiences

during MMA’s early years while also examining the events that

changed the public’s perception of him.
