Abdullaev (14-0) took on Ednilson
\nBarros Santos<\/a> (14-8-1) in a lightweight matchup on
\nWeek 6<\/a> of
\nDana White\u2019s Contender Series<\/a> 2026. He knocked Santos out with
\na vicious right hand in just 19 seconds to earn a UFC contract.<\/p>\n

Akbar Abdullaev wants a quick UFC debut after stopping Ednilson
\nBarros Santos<\/h2>\n

The undefeated prospect with a 100% finishing rate became the first
\nKyrgyz fighter to earn a UFC contract on DWCS. UFC CEO Dana
\nWhite<\/a> later hailed Abdullaev as possibly the greatest prospect
\nin DWCS history.<\/p>\n

Abdullaev says he was ready for everything going into his DWCS
\nopportunity. He had always dreamed of a UFC career, irrespective of
\nwhether he earned a direct contract or went through the Contender
\nSeries. Eager to start his UFC career, the 28-year-old wants to
\nmake his debut within a couple of months.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was my place; I was ready for everything,\u201d Abdullaev said in
\na post-fight interview. \u201cI happen to be a part of the UFC. It
\nwasn\u2019t important to me how to get here, through the Contender
\nSeries, just a straight contract or any other way. I dreamed of
\nbeing here and I am here\u2026 I\u2019m hungry; give me fights, I\u2019m ready to
\nfight in October or November.\u201d<\/p>\n
