Petr
\nYan<\/a> isn’t impressed with fellow
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> bantamweights.<\/p>\n

The 135-pound champ returns at
\nUFC 333<\/a> on Oct. 24 against Merab
\nDvalishvili<\/a> in a trilogy bout. Yan recently shared his
\nassessment of the division and its top-ranked contenders, claiming
\nthat not a single bantamweight stands above the rest. Nevertheless,
\nhe\u2019s open to whoever he\u2019s offered by the UFC matchmakers.<\/p>\n

Yan hasn\u2019t competed since defeating Dvalishvili by unanimous
\ndecision in December last year to reclaim the championship. The
\nRussian subsequently underwent lumbar surgery in January and has
\nspent the ensuing months recovering.<\/p>\n

While Yan has been sidelined, the pecking order at bantamweight has
\nshifted, especially after Yadong Song<\/a>
\nknocked out Umar
\nNurmagomedov<\/a>. Yan, however, already has a win over Song.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be honest, I\u2019ve been watching the division and nothing really
\nimpresses me because yeah, some people are winning, some people are
\nlosing, but let\u2019s say Song and Umar\u2026 Song knocked out Umar, but
\nI\u2019ve beaten Song already,\u201d Yan said to MMA Fighting. \u201cSo, there\u2019s
\nreally not all that much that I\u2019m impressed with. Same kind of
\npeople swirling around, so I\u2019m happy to come out and fight
\neverybody and beat everybody.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yan says he has no interest in choosing his next challenger.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe champ doesn\u2019t choose his opponents,\u201d Yan said. \u201cWe have
\nmatchmaking here for a reason. I think whoever they\u2019ll put there,
\nI\u2019ll be ready to fight them.\u201d<\/p>\n
