\nAmanda
\nSerrano<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hardy, who competed under the Bellator banner from 2017 to 2019,
\nwent 2-2 in mixed martial arts during her stint with the promotion.
\nThe 24-3 boxer is now suing MVP over alleged post-fight medical
\ncomplications following her defeat to Serrano.<\/p>\n

Heather Hardy alleges Amanda Serrano rematch caused permanent
\nneurological damage<\/h2>\n

Hardy\u2019s lawsuit stems from her rematch with Serrano, which took
\nplace in August 2023 on the Paul-Nate Diaz<\/a>
\ncard. Hardy claims she experienced blurred vision for several days
\nafter the fight. She later withdrew from a 2024 BKFC bout because
\nof worsening vision issues and said doctors had warned that further
\nhead injuries could permanently affect her eyesight.<\/p>\n

The bout was staged by Paul\u2019s MVP, which has now been accused of
\n\u201cexploiting\u201d Hardy\u2019s difficult financial position to book an unsafe
\nand dangerous fight. The complaint alleges that Hardy suffered a
\npermanent brain injury as a result of the bout and accuses Paul and
\nMVP of negligence.<\/p>\n

\u201cDefendants knew, or should have known, that the bout presented an
\nextraordinary and foreseeable risk of serious neurological harm to
\nHardy,\u201d the complaint states (via ESPN<\/a>). \u201cDr. Curreri concluded that Ms. Hardy
\nnow suffers from a permanent disability marked by traumatic brain
\ninjury, memory loss, double vision, anxiety disorder, spatial
\nconfusion, and perception and depth inaccuracies, among other
\nimpairments. According to Dr. Curreri, these symptoms left Ms.
\nHardy unable to concentrate and, in all likelihood, incapable of
\nmaintaining regular employment. Dr. Curreri\u2019s assessment connected
\nHardy\u2019s injury to the rematch itself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hardy is seeking $10 million in damages from MVP, co-founder Paul,
\nCOO Bryce Holden and Holden Boxing. She has also requested measures
