\nRodriguez<\/a> already has another fight in mind beyond his upcoming
\n
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> bout.<\/p>\n

Rodriguez (7-0) will face Alden Coria<\/a>
\n(13-3) on Oct. 3 on the prelims of UFC
\n332<\/a> at Delta Center in Salt Lake City. The unbeaten
\nDana White\u2019s Contender Series<\/a> graduate wants to break into the
\nTop 15 at 125 pounds by the end of 2026 and is targeting a ranked
\nopponent later this year.<\/p>\n

Imanol Rodriguez plans to pursue Joshua Van after facing Alden
\nCoria at UFC 332<\/h2>\n

In a pre-fight interview ahead of UFC 332, Rodriguez expressed his
\ndesire to face a ranked opponent if he defeats Coria. The
\n26-year-old wants to return to the Octagon in December and is
\ntargeting a \u201cclean\u201d performance Saturday that would allow him to
\nmake a two-month turnaround.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have a plan for this year and that’s to fight again in
\nDecember,\u201d Rodriguez said. \u201cSo, this is a win that needs to be
\nclean. And I want to call out some people on the rankings and see
\nsomebody up in the rankings that I can fight.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rodriguez has also set his sights on flyweight champion Joshua Van<\/a>,
\nCoria\u2019s teammate.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think Joshua Van will be in the corner of Alden Coria, so I
\nthink he’s going to see that if we cross paths, he’s going to have
\na tough fighter ahead of him, a tough challenge,\u201d Rodriguez added.
\n\u201cFirst, I’ll go for his friend and then I’ll go for him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rodriguez has finished all seven of his professional victories,
\nincluding six by knockout and one by submission, and is 1-0 in the
\nUFC. Meanwhile, Coria is 3-0 in the UFC and is riding a seven-fight
\nunbeaten streak.<\/p>\n
