\n332<\/a> on Oct. 3 at Delta Center in Salt Lake City. Ahead of her
\nchampionship bout, Silva reflected on her journey to title
\ncontention and the hardships she has overcome.<\/p>\n

Natalia Silva recalls living at her gym before earning UFC 332
\ntitle shot<\/h2>\n

Silva credits her perseverance and belief in herself with helping
\nher overcome hardships throughout her career. She recently revealed
\nthat she once lived at her gym and slept on a physical therapy bed.
\nThe Brazilian admitted there were several occasions when she
\nconsidered quitting mixed martial arts but credits her faith and
\nthe people around her with helping her continue.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think what brought me here was believing in myself and never
\nquitting and continuing regardless of what happens,\u201d Silva told the
\nUFC. \u201cNo matter what I did in my life and what I was able to
\naccomplish, it was always a very tough journey. I have gone through
\na lot of challenges. There were moments that I had to live in the
\ngym. I actually lived in the physical therapy room; I slept in a PT
\nbed for a while. Things were never easy. And in many moments, I
\nthought of giving up, of quitting\u2026 Always, God has strengthened me,
\nsurrounded me with people with a kind word for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Silva is undefeated in eight UFC appearances, with her last three
\nvictories coming against Jessica
\nAndrade<\/a>, Alexa
\nGrasso<\/a> and Rose
\nNamajunas<\/a>. Meanwhile, Wang is riding a four-fight winning
\nstreak and is coming off a victory over Tracy
\nCortez<\/a>.<\/p>\n
