\nWint<\/a> believes his stint in the National Football League
\nprepared him to handle the spotlight in the UFC.<\/p>\n

Wint (8-0) is scheduled to make his sophomore
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> appearance against Lucas
\nArmand<\/a> (6-0) at UFC
\n332<\/a> on Oct. 3 at Delta Center in Salt Lake City. The former New
\nYork Jets linebacker says he isn\u2019t overwhelmed by being around UFC
\nstars or being viewed as a celebrity.<\/p>\n

Anthony Wint says his NFL experience changed how he handles the
\nUFC spotlight<\/h2>\n

Wint has been training with several top-ranked and rising UFC
\nfighters, including Esteban
\nRibovics<\/a>, Gregory
\nRodrigues<\/a>, Anthony
\nHernandez<\/a>, Reinier
\nde Ridder<\/a> and Roman
\nDolidze<\/a>. However, \u201cBow Down\u201d isn\u2019t starstruck, having already
\nbeen around high-profile athletes in the NFL. Wint also learned not
\nto be overwhelmed by the spotlight after his NFL career didn\u2019t
\ndevelop as he had hoped.<\/p>\n

\u201cI played in the NFL and I\u2019m used to being around the stars\u2026 I\u2019m
\nused to people seeing me as a celebrity,\u201d Wint said in an
\ninterview. \u201cAnd I train with Esteban [Ribovics]. My last fight, I
\nliterally sparred three or four of the top-ranked guys in the
\n185-pound division: \u2018Robocop,\u2019 I was around Anthony, RDR\u2026 I\u2019ve done
\ncountless rounds with him, even Roman; when I went to the P.I., I
\ngot to roll around with him a little bit. So, you miss this star
\neffect of, \u2018Dang, I\u2019m in the UFC.\u2019 Because I already had that in
\nthe NFL and I saw how it worked and it didn\u2019t work.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wint earned his UFC contract on the ongoing season of
\nDana White\u2019s Contender Series<\/a> with a 34-second finish in
\nAugust. Wint refused to leave Las Vegas without getting his UFC
\ndebut booked and made his Octagon debut 11 days later at
\nUFC Sacramento<\/a>, where he earned a first-round submission
\nvictory.<\/p>\n
