Sean
\nO’Malley<\/a> has denied that he was ever offered a matchup against
\nPayton
\nTalbott<\/a> for the
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a>\u2019s historic event at the White
\nHouse.<\/p>\n

Talbott (12-1) claimed ahead of UFC
\n332<\/a> that he was in talks for a potential bout against O\u2019Malley
\n(20-3-1) at
\nUFC Freedom 250<\/a> in June. However, O\u2019Malley said he was never
\noffered the matchup.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Malley responds after Talbott discusses potential UFC Freedom
\n250 matchup<\/h2>\n

At the post-fight news conference following his first-round
\nstoppage victory over Deiveson
\nFigueiredo<\/a>, Talbott reiterated that he was in talks to face
\nO\u2019Malley at UFC Freedom 250. O\u2019Malley subsequently addressed the
\nclaim on social media, disputing Talbott\u2019s account.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’m here to f*cking address these rumors that I got offered Payton
\nTalbott for the White House,\u201d O’Malley said. \u201cThat is just
\nabsolutely bullsh*t.\u201d<\/p>\n

O\u2019Malley also pushed back against the suggestion that he has
\navoided Talbott, pointing to the level of opposition he has faced
\nin recent years.<\/p>\n

\u201c4 out of the last 7 fights have been against three of the greatest
\nbantamweights of all time,\u201d O\u2019Malley wrote on his Instagram story.
\n\u201cAin’t ducking no one.\u201d<\/p>\n

O\u2019Malley has since revealed that his next fight depends on the
\nupcoming UFC bantamweight title bout. Petr Yan<\/a>, whom
\n\u201cSuga\u201d defeated, is set to defend the title in a trilogy bout
\nagainst Merab
\nDvalishvili<\/a>, who has beaten O\u2019Malley twice, at
\nUFC 333<\/a> on Oct. 24. Should Yan win, O\u2019Malley believes he is
\nnext in line for a title shot, but he is open to facing Talbott
\nnext if Dvalishvili defeats the Russian champion.<\/p>\n
