LaGrange (7-1) took on heavy favorite Nell Ariano<\/a>
\nin a light heavyweight matchup that headlined
\nWeek 9<\/a> of DWCS Season 10 at Meta Apex in Las Vegas on Oct. 6,
\nsecuring the finish midway through the opening round to earn his
\nspot on the UFC roster.<\/p>\n

+400 Underdog Preston LaGrange Scores Stunning KO to Earn UFC
\nContract<\/h2>\n

LaGrange took the fight on two weeks\u2019 notice and moved up a weight
\nclass for the opportunity. He weighed in at 199.5 pounds for the
\nlight heavyweight bout and was a +400 underdog but proved the
\noddsmakers wrong with his performance, impressing UFC CEO Dana
\nWhite<\/a> and the promotion\u2019s matchmakers.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt feels good,\u201d LaGrange said in his post-fight interview. \u201cI am
\nexcited to be here, and I am ready to put on a show for the
\nUFC.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked when he would like to return to action for his UFC
\ndebut, LaGrange said he would accept whatever the UFC offers
\nhim.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, I am always ready,\u201d LaGrange added. \u201cI took this fight on
\na two-week notice, so, you know\u2026 I am always ready. I am training
\nyear-round, so I will be ready whenever the UFC calls me.\u201d<\/p>\n
