Pavlovich and the former two-division
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> titleholder are scheduled to
\nmeet in the co-main event of UFC
\n335<\/a> on Dec. 12 in Las Vegas. Pereira\u2019s coach and mentor,
\nTeixeira, believes the Russian\u2019s more stationary style makes him a
\nless challenging opponent than reigning heavyweight champion
\nGane.<\/p>\n

Glover Teixeira explains why Sergei Pavlovich presents a better
\nstylistic matchup than Ciryl Gane<\/h2>\n

\u201cPoatan\u201d is coming off a second-round technical knockout loss to
\nGane in his heavyweight debut at
\nUFC Freedom 250<\/a> in June. Teixeira believes his prot\u00e9g\u00e9 will
\nfare better against Pavlovich, who lacks Gane\u2019s footwork and
\nevasiveness.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Sherdog, Teixeira welcomed the matchup, which he
\npredicts will end before the fifth round. The former light
\nheavyweight champion also outlined Pereira\u2019s path to victory and
\nreiterated his goal of becoming the first three-division UFC
\nchampion.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was the fight to make. Every heavyweight fight is dangerous,
\nand this one definitely isn\u2019t going to the fifth round,\u201d Teixeira
\nsaid. \u201cIt\u2019s a better matchup for \u2018Poatan\u2019 compared to Ciryl Gane\u2019s
\nstyle. Gane moves around more, while Pavlovich tends to stay more
\nplanted. To win, \u2018Poatan\u2019 needs to fight the right fight, maintain
\nhis distance and be faster. \u2018Poatan\u2019s goal is still to win a third
