\nProfessional Fighters League<\/a> Africa held its tournament
\nsemifinals Saturday at Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca,
\nMorocco.<\/p>\n

The
\nPFL Africa 3: 2026 Playoffs<\/a> headliner featured a heavyweight
\nclash between Abdoulaye
\nKane<\/a> and promotional newcomer Badr
\nMedkouri<\/a>. The heavyweights exchanged shots early before the
\naction was temporarily stopped following an apparent eye poke by
\nKane. Medkouri was given time to recover and was able to
\ncontinue.<\/p>\n

When the action resumed, Kane (6-2, 3-2 PFL) controlled Morocco\u2019s
\nMedkouri (9-4, 0-1 PFL) against the cage before taking him down. On
\nthe canvas, the Senegalese fighter landed punches as his opponent
\ntried to escape. Kane then
\nunleashed a series of elbows that forced referee Paul Crossley to
\nstop the action<\/a><\/strong>. The technical knockout came at 4:06
\nof the first round. Kane rebounded from a loss and improved to 3-1
\nin his last four appearances. In the featherweight co-main event, Yanis
\nGhemmouri<\/a> (14-4, 2-1 PFL), a former Ultimate Fighting
\nChampionship fighter and 2025 PFL MENA finalist, stifled Taha
\nBendaoud<\/a>\u2019s attack while waiting for him to overcommit.
\nGhemmouri took the fight to the canvas several times in the second
\nand third rounds and kept Bendaoud (5-3, 2-3 PFL) at bay with
\nstrikes from distance. The Moroccan struggled to impose his game as
\nthe bout ran its course. All three judges scored it 30-27 for
\nGhemmouri, giving the Algerian a unanimous decision victory.<\/p>\n

In a welterweight tournament semifinal, Shido
\nBoris Esperanca<\/a> (13-2, 5-1 PFL) stopped Peace
\nNguphane<\/a> (9-4, 1 NC; 1-1 PFL) 63 seconds into the fight.
\nEsperanca, who missed weight Friday at 172 pounds, hurt Nguphane
\nearly. “The Machine” maintained the pressure and earned a technical
\nknockout.<\/p>\n

The second 170-pound semifinal saw International Mixed Martial Arts
\nFederation veteran David
\nSamuel<\/a> (5-0, 2-0 PFL) outgrapple Rivaldo
\nPereira<\/a> (4-3, 1-1 PFL) for three rounds to earn a unanimous
\ndecision, with all three judges scoring it 30-27. “Django”
\ncontrolled the grappling exchanges but went the distance for the
\nfirst time in his professional career. Samuel will face Esperanca
\nin the final.<\/p>\n

In the card\u2019s only bantamweight semifinal, Dwight
\nJoseph<\/a> (17-3, 1 NC; 3-1 PFL) edged Boule
\nGodogo<\/a> (5-3, 2-3 PFL) by split decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29).
\nJoseph relied on his grappling but could not secure a finish
\ndespite taking Godogo\u2019s back multiple times. He will face Raphael
\nUchegbu<\/a> in the final after Uchegbu\u2019s scheduled semifinal
\nagainst Alain
\nMajorique<\/a> was removed from the card.<\/p>\n

In a lightweight semifinal, Patrick
\nOcheme<\/a> (10-1, 4-0 PFL) earned his place in the final by
\nknocking out Cornel
\nThompson<\/a> (12-4, 2-1 PFL) with a body kick at 2:46 of the first
\nround. Thompson
\nbacked down and dropped to the canvas as soon as \u201cStar Boi\u201d
\nconnected with the kick<\/a><\/strong>, and Ocheme held back as the
\nreferee intervened.<\/p>\n

The other lightweight semifinal, between Demba Seck<\/a>
\n(11-3, 1 NC; 1-0, 1 NC PFL) and Hussain Al
\nKurdi<\/a> (3-0, 1 NC; 1-0, 1 NC PFL),
\nended in a no contest after Al Kurdi landed an accidental knee to
\nthe groin after 37 seconds<\/a><\/strong>. Seck used the full
\nfive-minute recovery period but was unable to continue. He advanced
\nunder PFL tournament rules and will face Ocheme in the final.<\/p>\n

At welterweight, Mouhamed Ba<\/a>
\n(4-1, 1 NC; 1-0, 1 NC PFL) defeated Yabna
\nN’Tchala<\/a> (14-4-1, 3-2 PFL) by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27,
\n29-28), earning the first decision victory of his career. \u201cThe
\nBlack Lion\u201d used effective striking to dictate the pace. Ba earned
\nhis first promotional win and handed N\u2019Tchala his second
\nconsecutive loss.<\/p>\n

In a bantamweight bout, Legacy Fighting Alliance veteran Reda
\nAbdellaoui<\/a> (5-0, 1-0 PFL) remained unbeaten by forcing
\nTunisia\u2019s Salim
\nMhamdi<\/a> (2-2, 0-1 PFL)
\nto tap to a rear-naked choke at 2:11 of the opening
\nframe<\/a><\/strong>. “The Lynx” earned his fifth finish in as many
\nprofessional wins and his second by rear-naked choke.<\/p>\n

Earlier, former African Knockout titleholder Jane Osigwe<\/a>
\n(6-4, 1-1 PFL) defeated Sanaa
\nMandar<\/a> (3-3, 0-1 PFL) by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28,
\n29-27) in a 132-pound catchweight bout.<\/p>\n

In the opening lightweight bout, Abderrahman
\nErrachidy<\/a> (6-2, 2-1 PFL) earned his first decision victory by
\ndefeating Oussama
\nEl Idrissi<\/a> (3-1, 0-1 PFL) on all three scorecards (29-28,
