\nStrickland<\/a> has once again publicly expressed his
\ndissatisfaction with fighter pay in the
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Strickland (31-7) has threatened to leave the UFC unless \u201cthings
\nchange.\u201d The middleweight champion pointed to Conor
\nMcGregor<\/a>‘s alleged $30 million payday for a recent appearance
\nthat Strickland claimed lasted just 30 seconds. He is now
\nconsidering fighting out his contract and leaving the
\npromotion.<\/p>\n

Sean Strickland considers fighting out UFC contract amid pay
\ndispute<\/h2>\n

Strickland says he is considering vacating his 185-pound title and
\nmoving up to light heavyweight to fulfill his UFC contract. He also
\nfloated a potential fight against Jake Paul<\/a> as
\na financial incentive to leave the promotion.<\/p>\n

\u201cI gotta be honest unless things change with the UFC Im kinda over
\nit,\u201d Strickland posted on X. \u201cMcGregor makes 30 million to fight
\nfor 30 second and they dont want to pay us a fraction of it.
\nContemplating just going to 205 knocking out my contract and
\nscrapping with [Jake Paul] That sounds fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

A fan suggested that Strickland should command a larger purse given
\nhis upset victories over Israel
\nAdesanya<\/a> and Khamzat
\nChimaev<\/a>. Strickland responded that he earned significantly less
\nthan either opponent.<\/p>\n

Strickland said in September that a title defense against Nassourdine
\nImavov<\/a> was close to being finalized, with negotiations over his
\npurse remaining the final hurdle. The rematch was initially
\ndiscussed for UFC
\n335<\/a>, but it could now take place next year.<\/p>\n
