Makhachev recently played the traditional horseback sport of kok
\nboru in Kyrgyzstan. The Kyrgyz game involves two teams on horseback
\ntrying to carry a goat carcass and put it in the opposing team\u2019s
\ngoal.<\/p>\n

Islam Makhachev discovers how demanding Kyrgyzstan\u2019s kok boru
\nreally is<\/h2>\n

Makhachev revealed that he initially thought he would adapt to the
\nsport with ease while watching it on tape. However, the
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> welterweight titleholder was
\nsurprised by how difficult it really is.<\/p>\n

While Makhachev\u2019s team won the match, he credited his teammates for
\nthe victory. He found lifting the goat carcass to be one of the
\ntoughest parts of the game.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be honest, it seemed to be a bit easier on tape,\u201d Makhachev
\nsaid. \u201cBut it is very hard. A very intense and physical sport. I
\nwould say a very energy-consuming one. When I was watching it on
\ntape, it seemed like I would play it with ease. But it\u2019s hard and
\ntakes a lot of training. We tried it today and thanks to my
\nteammates, we won\u2026 Lifting this ram is a hard task.\u201d<\/p>\n

Makhachev also jokingly called out Kyrgyz UFC welterweight Myktybek
\nOrolbai<\/a> for a game.<\/p>\n

\u201cMyktybek Orolbai, where are you?\u201d Makhachev said. \u201cI arrived in
\nKyrgyzstan to play Kokpar. But I can\u2019t seem to see you here.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Orolbai couldn\u2019t meet Makhachev in person, he sent his
\ngreetings.<\/p>\n

\nram is a hard task when other players are trying to stop you. It\u2019s
