\nhas a legitimate chance to dethrone Ciryl Gane<\/a>
\nwhen the pair meet for the
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> heavyweight title at UFC
\n334<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Gane (14-2) will defend his title against the unbeaten Hokit (10-0)
\non Nov. 14 at Madison Square Garden in New York. Jones, who has
\nshared the Octagon with Gane, discussed the matchup in an interview
\nwith The Schmo, saying his compatriot could beat the French
\nchampion.<\/p>\n

Jones praised Hokit\u2019s recent UFC performances and coaching team but
\nacknowledged that a Gane victory would bolster his own reputation.
\n\u201cBones\u201d submitted \u201cBon Gamin\u201d to win the heavyweight title in
\n2023.<\/p>\n

\u201cJosh looks great right now,\u201d Jones told The Schmo. \u201cHe’s doing a
\ngreat job; Obviously, he’s coached by some of the best in the
\nworld. I’ve always supported wrestlers and backed wrestlers. So, my
\nprediction is that I believe Hokit very well could win, but I’d be
\nlying if I didn’t say that it doesn’t make our brand look great
\nwhen Ciryl Gane beats people. So, may the best man win.\u201d<\/p>\n
