\nSharaf<\/a> knocked out Steveson in 12 seconds at UFC
\n331<\/a> in September, handing the Olympic wrestling gold medalist
\nhis first loss in the
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a>. Jones discussed Steveson\u2019s
\nresponse and the adjustments his team plans to make.<\/p>\n

Jon Jones backs Gable Steveson after Sean Sharaf knockout,
\noutlines training adjustments<\/h2>\n

The former two-division UFC champion said Steveson had returned to
\ntraining. Jones pointed to other accomplished fighters who overcame
\ndefeats, expressing confidence that Steveson would do the same.<\/p>\n

\u201cGable’s doing great,\u201d Jones said in an interview with The Schmo.
\n\u201cI believe in Gable. I believe in the man and the person that he
\nis. And if you think about it, all the great fighters have had
\nknockouts and losses. I mean, GSP [Georges St.
\nPierre<\/a>] vs. Matt Serra<\/a> \u2013
\nthere’s just so many examples. He’s in the right headspace. He’s
\nright back to training.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jones identified increased sparring as one planned adjustment.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like, as a team, we need to add a lot more sparring and we
\nhave our little things that we can work on as a team, but he’s in
\ngreat hands,\u201d Jones added. \u201cHe has great mentors and a great team
\naround him, and we believe he is going to pull back in an amazing
\nway.\u201d<\/p>\n
