\nStrickland<\/a>\u2019s latest complaints about fighter pay.<\/p>\n

Speaking to reporters after the final episode of
\nDana White\u2019s Contender Series<\/a> Season 10, the
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> CEO addressed Strickland\u2019s
\ncomments amid negotiations for his next title defense.<\/p>\n

\nmiddleweight champion signed a new contract in May<\/h2>\n

Strickland has expressed frustration over his proposed purse for a
\nmiddleweight title rematch against Nassourdine
\nImavov<\/a>. The champion recently said he was considering vacating
\nthe belt, moving to light heavyweight and fighting out his contract
\nto pursue a boxing bout against Jake
\nPaul<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Asked about Strickland at the DWCS 2026
\nWeek 10<\/a> postfight news conference, White characterized the
\nfighter\u2019s public complaints as routine.<\/p>\n

\u201cI haven\u2019t personally [spoken to Strickland], I\u2019ve just heard
\nthrough social media and stuff,\u201d White said. \u201cBut when isn\u2019t Sean
\nStrickland upset about something or doesn\u2019t have something to
\nsay?\u201d<\/p>\n

Strickland has compared his earnings with the $30 million he claims
\nConor
\nMcGregor<\/a> earned for his last appearance. White disputed
\nStrickland\u2019s account of his own pay and said the two-time champion
\nsigned a new contract in May.<\/p>\n

\u201cSean Strickland just signed a new contract in May,\u201d White added.
\n\u201cHe just signed a new contract in May. He signed a new deal. Was
\nthat like, four months ago? Five months ago? He signed a new deal.
\nAnd from what I hear, the number he\u2019s putting out there\u2026 It\u2019s not
\ntrue. The number that he claimed he made is not true. It is what it
\nis. If we were in a situation where he\u2019d been under the same
\ncontract for a year, two years \u2014 he just signed a contract in May.
\nHe got a whole new deal in May. So, it is what it is.\u201d<\/p>\n
