Pico (14-5) is scheduled to face Losene
\nKeita<\/a> (17-2) at
\nUFC 333<\/a> on Oct. 24 at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. Ahead of the
\nmatchup, the former Bellator<\/a>
\nfighter said he wants to gain experience rather than rush to
\nfinish.<\/p>\n

Aaron Pico explains new fighting mentality ahead of Losene
\nKeita matchup at UFC 333<\/h2>\n

Pico was knocked out in his UFC debut last year before earning his
\nfirst promotional victory against Patricio
\nFreire<\/a>. He said he has since adopted a \u201cbeginner
\nmentality.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pico, who has finished 11 of his 14 professional victories, has
\nworked with coach Roberto Barreiro to develop a more measured
\napproach. Instead of trying to end fights as quickly as possible,
\nhe now wants to settle into the action.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I say I needed to be humbled, it’s not in the fact that I
\nwalked or carried myself\u2026 I needed to humble myself in the way that
\nI was fighting,\u201d Pico said at the UFC 333 media day. \u201cI was
\nfighting just too out of control. When I would go do a fight, the
\nmindset was to get this thing over. I just want to go in there, do
\nwhat I have to do, get the win and go home. I\u2019ve really worked with
\ncoach Roberto Barreiro a lot in Morocco to switch the mindset a
\nlittle bit. Now I want to enjoy and cook the fight.\u201d<\/p>\n
